Breast cancer continues to be the most common cancer among Canadian women. 1 in 9 are expected to develop the disease during her lifetime.
Breast cancer research has been conducted at the Northeast Cancer Center (NECC) in Sudbury since 1990, directly benefitting patients in Northeastern Ontario. Fundraising events like the “Luncheon of Hope” support this world class research.
Our Luncheon provides a venue by which to educate and enlighten women about the effects of breast cancer. It also offers an opportunity for survivors, their families and their friends to gather together in reflection and celebrate life. Since inception 20 years ago, the event has raised over $845,000- all of which has remained in the community to support the work of the NECC.
Tickets are $60 and come with a $30 charitable receipt.
Proceeds from the annual “Luncheon of Hope” support the Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF) to help fund local breast cancer research, equipment and patient care conducted at the Northeast Cancer Center in Sudbury.
